Shown at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March, The 3-Series GT is loosely based on the lines of the bigger 5-Series Gran Turismo which is basically a high-roofed swooping hatch that is designed to be both stylish and practical.

With extra headroom, legroom, and boot space, the 3-Series GT combines the standard sedan’s on-road manners with the practicality and versatility of the estate model (3-Series Touring). In Europe, the 3-Series GT is available with 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines besides the high-performance in-line 6-cylinder petrol. Here in India, we expect BMW to launch the 3-Series GT with 185PS, 270nm 2-litre petrol and 185PS, 380Nm 2-litre diesel engine options.
