Luxury automakers in India are going out on a limb when it comes to imposing showrooms that you can’t ignore. They’re big and fancy, and an embodiment of global standards. Nippon Toyota  rules the roost when it comes to size, while JLR, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz India now have dealerships that factor size as an important parameter.

Mercedes-Benz‘ crowning glory is their 60,000 sq ft T&T Motors Delhi dealership that can display 26 cars. Last month they inaugurated of the largest state of the art service station of North India with T&T Motors Gurgaon work shop, which stands at 62,000+ sq. ft., with 28 dedicated bays, capability to service 15,000 cars a year, at an investment of INR 300 million.


Mercedes-Benz India has recently inaugurated a new dealership in Lucknow at an investment of INR 12 crores. Smart Hoops Lucknow, located at Uttardhauna on Faizabad Road is spanned over an area of 23,000 sq ft showroom displaying a total of 11 cars of the Mercedes Benz range and 25,000 sq ft first rate service center.

The dealership also houses a Mercedes Benz Customer Lounge and an area for display of exclusive accessories and boutique items while a Mercedes Café caters to visitors and customers to the showroom. This new showroom adds to the 56 other Mercedes Benz showrooms across 32 cities in the country.

Audi’s Delhi South dealership houses 20 display cars and is spread over a total area of 30,000 sq. ft., while their Karnal showroom is spread over 66000 sq.ft., with an 11 car display, and the capacity to service 12 cars.

BMW India Deutsche Motoren dealership in Noida houses a sales and service facility spread over an area of 90,611 sq.ft. The showroom has can display 9 cars while its service workshop can cater to the servicing needs of a total of 130 cars per day across its 33 service bays.

Deutsche Motoren Faridabad spread over 130,000 sq ft is a 4S facility that houses an after-sales service facility featuring Sales, Service, Spare Parts and Business Systems. The showroom can display up to 13 cars and the workshop is has 92 bays that can service up to 350 cars each day.

Jaguar’s new 50,000 sq ft showroom has come up at Oddar Palayam, Ondipudur in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where the 3S facility has a display area for upto 12 cars, a workshop area of 10,500 sq ft and 14 bays and onsite spare part availability. The entire range of Jaguar Land Rover models will be on sale at this new showroom and will include models such as Jaguar XJ, XF, XKR and F-Type besides the recently launched Range Rover Sport, Range Rover, Evoque, Discovery 4 and Freelander 2.
Back in 2011, Nippon Toyota in Kochi. Nippon Towers at Kalamasserry handles service, sales, spares and financing. The 3,85,000-sq.ft. building also looks into sale of pre-owned cars.
